The Summer Institute is a Social Justice program which utilizes theater together with social justice education to empower youth ages 13-18. Students are encouraged and supported to be active in their respective communities arms with self-actualizing tools and information.

Capoeira provides an oportunity to learn about a discipline that was born out a specific cultural context where liberation and self preservation played a paramount role in against oppression. Today Capoeira Angola provides a physical and mental form of education which increases awareness and improvisational approaches to self discipline and community.

We are pleased to Welcome back our MEstre to guide our collaboration. This Summer Mestre Marrom will also be attending and presenting Capoeira Angola at a Quaker Peace and reconciliation Camp and embarking on a new path through the Lundstrum Center.
